Industrial production grew by 5.4%

For the first time in four years, Moldova has registered an annual growth in industrial production. This indicator increased by 5.4% in 2025 against the level of 2024, Logos Press reported.

According to the National Bureau of Statistics, there was an increase of 3% in the first nine months of last year and 1.6% in the first half of the year, after a 1.2% decline in the first quarter.

The increase in industrial production for the year as a whole was due to growth in mining industry by 6.9%, in manufacturing – by 6.3%, in energy – by 1.6%.

In December 2025 compared to the same month of 2024, industrial production grew by 9.3%.

The country’s authorities forecasted an increase in this indicator in 2025 by 2.5%.

In 2024, industrial production in Moldova decreased by 1.1% after a decline of 3.6% in 2023 and a drop of 5.1% in 2022.
