INDAGRA FOOD 2025 – focus on Moldovan grapes

Moldova Fruct’s participation in this event with a single stand under the slogan “Taste matters” was made possible thanks to the support of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) and the Ukraine-Moldova American Enterprise Fund (UMAEF), the association said in a press release. FAO’s contribution is made within the framework of the project “Promoting the development of a long-term, sustainable, ecological and regenerative table grape value chain (OCOP)”.

In this context, it is natural that INDAGRA FOOD 2025 presents the whole range of Moldovan fruits, but with a special emphasis on table grapes. This product has been selected by the authorized structures of the Republic of Moldova within the framework of the FAO global initiative “One Country – One Priority Product”. Also, within the framework of tastings, Moldovan apples and plums are widely presented at the exhibition – for the sake of strengthening the interest and loyalty of Romanian consumers.

“Participation in INDAGRA FOOD 2025 is an opportunity to confirm the reputation of Moldovan fruits as high quality products grown according to EU standards. The event contributes to increasing the country’s brand recognition, developing cooperation with distribution networks and strengthening the position of Moldovan fruits on the Romanian market,” said Iurie Fale, executive director of the Moldovan Fruit Association.

Due to geographical proximity, consumption traditions and growing interest in natural and authentic products “within easy reach”, Romania has become a key market for Moldovan fruits. Between January and September 2025, 8,670 tons of table grapes, 8,494 tons of plums and 26,000 tons of apples were exported to Romania. Romania is the most important market for these Moldovan fruits in the European Union.

“The exhibition is well organized, professional and gives us access to partners from Romania, as well as to producers and importers of agricultural machinery. It is a good opportunity to develop new partnerships and conclude contracts. We presented the whole range of fruits, but the greatest interest so far has been aroused by Moldovan grapes and “Gala” apples. We hope that the flow of visitors will increase this weekend,” said Pavel Vieru, Export and Strategic Development Manager of Velfruct Prim SRL.

This year, INDAGRA FOOD 2025 brings together more than 500 companies from about 25 countries, which present their innovative products and technologies on an area of more than 27,000 m². The Moldovan delegation is participating in INDAGRA FOOD for the fourth year.
