
At the same time, the supply of currency from individuals increased by 12.1 million euros to 215 million euros. In the structure of this supply, the main part still belongs to the euro: it accounts for 75%.
The National Bank of Moldova noted that in these conditions, the regulator intervened in the local interbank market by net purchases of 8.5 million euros.
According to the National Bank, the average exchange rate of the Moldovan leu against the euro in March 2025 increased by 0.2% to 19.5 lei per 1 euro. In February, this indicator was at 19.4 lei per 1 euro.
