According to data on the agency’s website, revenues from TC activities this year are 4.9% higher than for the same period in 2024. Of the total amount of taxes and fees, VAT accounts for 68.2%, followed by excise duties with 24.7% and customs duties with 6.9%.
VAT on imports accumulated 8.45 billion lei. This is an increase of 5.6% compared to the same period in 2024.
The customs collected 3.06 billion lei in import excises. Their growth amounted to only 1.4%. Only the revenues from excise duties on petroleum products increased by 13.7% compared to last year, and on imported beer – by 21.9%. But the payment of excise duties on tobacco products decreased by 8.7%, on imported cars – by 3.4%, on spirits, liqueurs, liqueurs, etc. – by 15.7%. – by 15.7%.
The customs duty was accumulated in the budget at the level of 857.22 million lei. Compared to the same period of the previous year, it increased by 11.5%. The fee for customs procedures amounted to 15.12 million lei, decreasing by 27.2%. The reason is that this fee was canceled with the entry into force of the new Customs Code. Currently, it is charged only to residents of FEZ and Giurgiulesti port.
Experts note that in the first months of the year, economic activity in Moldova is lower than in subsequent periods. This is due to the pronounced seasonal character of our economy.
