According to CNA, the law enforcement authorities are searching several persons responsible for carrying out the works. Among the imputed violations are: carrying out construction with deviations from the project documentation, placing the facility with seizure of state territory, as well as accepting the facility in the absence of authorization acts, as the construction was suspended on the basis of control by the National Inspectorate for Technical Supervision.
There are currently 10 suspects, including the head of the Agency for Inspection of Monuments under the Ministry of Culture, the owner of the object, a representative of the economic entity and several persons responsible for technical works. Investigators are documenting the violations that fall under
suspected offenses under Art. 257 p. (2) and Art. 257/1 p. (2) of the Criminal Code – “Substandard performance of construction works”.
The criminal prosecution actions are carried out under the procedural guidance of the Chisinau Municipal Prosecutor’s Office.
