The training program for specialists in the field of hydromelioration was opened within the Faculty of Architecture and Urban Planning due to an acute shortage of specialists in this field, a release from the MAIA Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry said. The specialization “Smart Agriculture” was introduced at the Faculty of Agrarian, Forestry and Environmental Sciences, “since the existing programs are focused on traditional farming methods and poorly integrate new technologies”.
The curriculum is developed in cooperation with international universities: Wageningen University (Netherlands); University of California Davis, Washington State University, North Carolina State University (USA) and Technical University of Munich (Germany). Within the framework of existing inter-university relations, teachers from these universities will participate in the formation of scientific content, while technology companies from Agrotek Park will provide the practical part of training.
