The beneficiaries were selected following a call for projects of small value and focus on the fields of culture and tourism, as well as administrative capacity-building.

The project “CULTURISE: Culture and sustainable tourism for social inclusion and innovation in the Republic of Moldova and Romania” received a grant of 296,801.91 euros from a total budget of 329.8 thousand euros. The project will promote sustainable tourism in the counties of Iasi, Botosani and Vaslui (in Romania), as well as in the regions of Chisinau, Orhei, Soroca and Ungheni in RM.

The second project is entitled “Innovative actions for improving public administration and cross-border cooperation” and is implemented by the Association for Sustainable Development “Prut-Danai” (Galati, Romania). The grant amount under the Interreg program is 239,344.02 euros and the total project cost is 265.9 thousand euros. It aims to improve administrative capacity for sustainable development and quality of life in the region. The Interreg NEXT Romania-Republic of Moldova program provides funding for projects focusing on areas such as education, climate change, culture, tourism, good governance and emergency management.
