Such data is quoted by the specialized publication Enkorr. Since Moldova does not have its own refinery, all gasoline supplied to the neighboring country was of Romanian origin. And the increase in supplies, most likely, occurred due to the fact that the largest Romanian exporter of fuel to Ukraine – OMV Petrom – switched to partial deliveries by road, whereas previously it used only railroad. And logistical decisions forced some tank trucks to transit through Moldova.
It is also noteworthy that the leader in the market of fuel supplies to Ukraine has changed. For three years, Romania held the palm of supremacy, but according to July and September data, it took only the third place, behind Poland and Lithuania.
In September, Ukrainian fuel companies imported 140.9 thousand tons of gasoline, which is 14% less than in August and 16% more than in the same month last year.
