
The competition was held publicly, and eight candidates were admitted to the interview stage. As a result of the selection, Mititelu scored the highest number of points.
The new director is an engineer specializing in oil and gas drilling. His professional experience totals more than 20 years and is mainly related to work abroad. Over the years he has held managerial and technical positions in companies in the United Arab Emirates, Iraq and Kazakhstan.
Since January 2025, Mititelu has been Operations Manager at NROD Investments, where he is responsible for the development of Middle East operations and government relations in the natural resources sector. Previously, he spent over nine years in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq as a Drilling Operations Supervisor with TH Drilling BV.
His professional experience includes managing drilling project budgets, participating in contract preparation, monitoring compliance with safety standards and coordinating engineering teams.
NARE’s Board of Directors consists of five members. According to the legislation, they are appointed by the Parliament by a majority vote of deputies.
Our Party MP Konstantin Kuyumzhu questioned the professional qualities of the new board member: “In my opinion, he does not meet the key criteria, namely, he does not have at least three years of managerial experience, which he himself confirmed during the hearings.”
