At the same time, foreign direct investment amounted to $5.4 billion, or 71% of all investments in the country’s economy. At the same time, in 2025, Belarusian companies sent abroad investments worth $6 billion. In this indicator, direct investment accounted for 70.5% of the total amount of investments.
The information notes that the statistics does not take into account banks, non-bank financial institutions, Development Bank of the Republic of Belarus, as well as budgetary organizations.
In 2024, foreign investment in the real sector of the Belarusian economy amounted to $6.9 billion. This amount was about $800 million less than in 2023 (-10.4%).
At the same time, the size of foreign direct investment in 2024 amounted to $5.2 billion, having decreased by 10.3% compared to 2023. However, their share in the total volume remained the same – 74.8%.
Investments from Belarus abroad reached $4.9 billion (-14% compared to 2023). The share of direct investment here amounted to 80.8%, having increased by 0.7 percentage points.
