Israeli authorities have suspended all non-essential activities: public and private institutions are not operating and airspace is closed, including Ben-Gurion International Airport.

The restrictions are in effect until Monday, March 2, 2026, 20:00, with the possibility of extension depending on developments in the situation.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs advises Moldovan citizens in Israel to strictly comply with the instructions of the Home Front Command, to stay near missile defense shelters and to minimize movement.

The Embassy of the Republic of Moldova in Tel Aviv is in constant communication with the local authorities and is monitoring the development of the situation.

Moldovan citizens can seek urgent consular assistance by calling +972 52 778 9772 or e-mailing [email protected].

On Saturday morning, February 28, Israel announced that it had launched a preemptive strike against Iran. According to Reuters, this drew the Middle East into a new military confrontation and further dampened hopes for a diplomatic solution to Tehran’s long-running nuclear dispute with the West.
