
Most of these funds, about LE 587.21 million, were allocated in the form of post-investment subsidies for 1,555 applications sent by farmers to AIPA in 2024.
Within this support measure, a significant part of the budgetary funds was allocated as partial compensation for investments in production, processing or marketing infrastructure of the crop production sector (148.23 million lei). Another 145.5 million lei were provided for the modernization of machinery and tillage technologies.
Besides, in January, AIPA approved for payment 8.80 million lei of so-called “phased subsidies”, as well as financing of the LEADER program in the amount of 250,000 lei. Payments in the amount of 880 thousand lei were authorized for advance payments for the modernization of the livestock sector of Moldovan agriculture.
According to the Law on State Budget, the volume of the National Fund for Agriculture and Rural Development for 2026 is set at 2.3 billion lei.
Earlier, Logos Press reported, citing expert estimates, that the arrears of farm subsidies for 2024-25 exceed 3 billion lei.
