
“We reaffirm our united support for the Republic of Moldova and its European future. We welcome Moldova’s continued commitment to democratic reforms, the rule of law and the values shared by the European Union. Moldova has made accession to the European Union part of its Constitution, clearly showing that this is the path its people have chosen for their future,” the statement said.
Also, the leaders of the six countries and two pan-European bodies expressed support for Moldova to become a prosperous democracy, where citizens enjoy the same opportunities and quality of life as people throughout the European Union. The main thing in this respect is the economic transformation. Our country is promised assistance in building a competitive economy that creates jobs, attracts investments and brings tangible benefits to all Moldovans.
“We appreciate Moldova’s efforts in maintaining stability in a difficult regional environment and for its actions as a reliable partner for European peace and security. As the country prepares for the upcoming parliamentary elections, it is important that Moldovans are free to choose their future without foreign interference,” the document emphasizes.
The sixth summit of the European Political Community was attended by 47 European leaders, heads of state and government, as well as heads of European institutions. The next ENP meeting will be held in the fall of 2025, in Denmark.
