
The European official announced this at a meeting of the International Coalition for the Return of Abducted Ukrainian Children. Ursula von der Leyen said that Brussels was well aware of the difficulties Ukraine had to face and the country’s huge domestic needs in various areas.
According to the European Pravda newspaper, Brussels and the EU countries will not limit themselves to allocating funds for school meals for children. Earlier, the European Commission announced the allocation of an additional 40m euros in humanitarian aid to help Ukrainians survive the fourth winter of a full-scale war.
Support from the UK amounted to 142 million pounds, these funds should help Ukraine to solve social problems during the winter period. And Norway has pledged to help with winter gas supplies to cover shortfalls.
