
The remaining more than 8.9 million lei (5% of net profit) will be undistributed. This decision was made by the company’s shareholders at their annual general meeting.
The authorized capital of Efes Vitanta is 40 million lei. The owner of the company is still Efes Breweries International B.V., which holds 96.8% of shares. Since 2003, the Moldovan brewery has been part of the international Efes Beverage Group, one of the largest brewing groups, which produces beer, malt and soft drinks for the markets of Turkey, Russia, other CIS countries and South-Eastern Europe.
It should be noted that the Moldovan division of Efes was sold to Turkish holding Anadolu Efes in 2023 for $12 million euros. After joining Efes, $163 mln was invested in the company in 2003-2022.
Today, the Chisinau brewery is the largest operator on the beer and soft drinks market in Moldova with a share exceeding 50%. It is a partner of international beer giants ABInBev, Asahi, Molson Coors, Oeteinger. It produces a line of beverages under 22 brands, including Chisinau, Efes, Kozel, Bavaria, Corona, Franziskaner.
