Eduard Maidenberg is a master of graphic art and painting, participant of international exhibitions, winner of various creative competitions, creator of the original graphic style “EDWARD”. He has illustrated the works of more than 250 authors from 50 countries, including classics of world literature and prominent contemporary writers.

Illustrations for such books as “One Thousand and One Nights”, “Mowgli” and “Fairy Tales” by R. Kipling, “Fables” by I. Krylov, “Cosette” by V. Hugo, “Cradle” by G. Vode, “Magic Kittens” by R. Lungu-Ploaye, “The Day of Honey” by G. Vakhnina, “Thumbelina XIX” by J. Toporovsky and V. Alexander. I. Shreibman’s “Seven Years and Seven Months”, D. Shekhter’s “Under the Constellation of Sagittarius”, B. Sandler’s “Clay and Flesh”, P. Pelin’s “The She-wolf”, a collection of poems by Jewish writers of Bessarabia “Flying Shadows”, and S. Vangeli’s four-volume “A Book for Reading and Reflection”.

Eduard Maidenberg’s graphic works based on the poem “Lucafărul” by M. Eminescu, whose 175th anniversary is celebrated this year, are characterized by special artistry.

The series “Bessarabian Album”, “Heavenly City”, “Psalms of David”, “House of Eternity”, “Russian Motives”, “Requiem”, “People of the Book” created by him have a symbolic meaning and expressive power. Many graphic works from these cycles have been repeatedly exhibited and printed on the pages of Kishinev and foreign publications.

This year in Chisinau also took place the jubilee creative evenings “EDWARD Style” in the Pushkin House-Museum and the Lomonosov Library of Russian Literature and Culture. M. V. Lomonosov Library of Russian Literature and Culture.
