This transaction emphasizes the strategic partnership between Romania and the Republic of Moldova, contributing to the deepening of economic and trade ties. As Moldova’s main maritime transportation hub, the MSPA handles more than 70% of the country’s maritime imports and exports, playing a crucial role in maintaining supply chains and ensuring economic stability.
“This transaction marks an important milestone in Moldova’s economic development and its integration into regional and global trade networks. It also demonstrates the growing investor confidence in Moldova’s potential and its strategic importance as a logistics and transportation hub for the entire region,” said Giuseppe Grimaldi, Head of the EBRD’s Representative Office in Moldova.
