The USA is symbolized by the white-headed eagle Clutch, which, according to the authors, should inspire the team and help it cope with difficulties. He is meant to unite people with his passion for sport and undying energy.

Jaguar Zayu represents Mexico and embodies the country’s centuries-old traditions – from dance and cultural flavor to national cuisine. His role is all about creating unity among soccer fans and joy both on and off the field.

Finally, Moose Maple represents Canada. He acts as a guide through the culturally diverse regions of the country. His key qualities are independence, resilience and creativity.

FIFA President Gianni Infantino said the mascots are full of joy, energy and a spirit of unity, just like the championship itself. “The mascots are the centerpieces of the incredible, entertaining atmosphere we are creating for this momentous tournament. They will win hearts and ignite celebrations across North America and around the world. I’m already imagining them on kids’ jerseys, on the arms of soccer legends. And for the first time, they will be featured in video games played by millions of people around the world,” he said.

The mascot of the previous Mundial in Qatar was the Laib, a stylized men’s headscarf (kufiya), widely spread in Arab countries. In 2018 in Russia, the mascot was the wolf Zabivaka, and four years earlier in Brazil, the armadillo Fuleko.

The World Cup matches will be held in 16 cities in the United States, Mexico and Canada from June 11 to July 19, 2026. For the first time, 48 national teams will take part in the tournament.
