Of the total number of budgetary places, 2,134 are for dual education – 238 more than last year. Students under this system can study and work at the same time. They receive free meals, a monthly stipend from 600 to 800 lei (depending on the specialty), and a salary not lower than the minimum wage in the economy. They are also provided with housing, but they pay for it themselves.

“Last year we had a very good intake for dual training – 60% more than in 2023. And this year we plan to completely fill all available places. It is worth noting that we are supported in this effort by more than 170 companies,” said Minister of Education and Research Dan Perchun.

The companies participating in dual training will receive compensation from the state budget in the amount of 50% of the costs of vocational training of students. In 2025, 15 million lei will be allocated from the state budget for this purpose.

The admission to vocational schools and exemplary centers (level 3) will end on 17 August. The results will be known on August 18-19. The admission to colleges and exemplary centers, where level 4 is provided and the students master not only professional specialties, but also general education subjects (which gives them the possibility to take the bachelor’s degree exam), will end on August 10. The results will be published on August 11-12. The second round of admission will last until the end of August. Applications can be submitted both in person and online.

Candidates can choose from 81 institutions: 14 model centers (including 2 private), 35 colleges (including 6 private) and 32 vocational schools.

Recall that also on July 21, the admission of documents to universities began. This year, the Ministry has retained the standard quota of 15% of budgetary places – a total of 8,712 places. For the first time, 194 places for dual education in higher education have been allocated.
