
The recall is being implemented “as a precautionary measure because the product may be found to exceed recommended acceptable levels of certain items.”
ANSA’s Food Safety Agency press release specifically notes that quality control and release data confirmed that there were no irregularities or abnormalities associated with Bacillus Cereus and confirms that all products are safe and compliant with EU requirements.
“As stated in EFSA’s scientific advice, cereulide (a banned toxin) may be produced by the microorganism Bacillus Cereus in case of non-compliance with good manufacturing practices (GMP),” the report states. – The Agency emphasizes that no such violations have been identified and all products continue to meet strict safety and quality standards”.
