Daily allowances were calculated taking into account the consumer price index for the previous year. In 2025, it amounted to 6.8%.

The indexation of payments is included in the draft, which will be considered by the government in the near future. It is developed by the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection and contains amendments to the decree “On the establishment and payment of per diem allowances for children”.

Such allowances are paid to children without parental care placed in family placement services and child care centers until they reach the age of 18.

According to the data provided by the territorial guardianship authorities and cited by the authors of the draft in the explanatory note to the draft, in 2025, 2,399 children received the allowance. Of these, 526 children were from the social service “Professional Assistance to Parents”, 203 children from the social service “Family-type Children’s Home”, 1502 children from the service “Guardianship/ Guardianship Administration”, 29 children from the social service “Community Home for Children at Risk” and 139 children from the social service “Placement Center for Children Separated from Parents”.

In 2026, it is estimated that approximately 2,625 children in these care facilities will be receiving the benefit.
