During the check of the Skoda Superb car at the entrance from Ukraine to Moldova, during a detailed inspection of the luggage of a 49-year-old female passenger, 64 boxes of cosmetic products were found, which had “obvious signs of a commercial consignment”.
These goods were not declared in accordance with the established procedure, the information of the Customs Service specifies. The entire batch of cosmetics was seized. The documentation continues to clarify all the circumstances and make a decision.
It should be reminded that according to the customs rules of the Republic of Moldova, the goods transported for commercial purposes are subject to mandatory written declaration. In case of concealment or non-declaration of products, the customs authorities have the right to seize the goods, and the offenders may be fined with the subsequent confiscation of the cargo.
