You proved during the elections to the whole world that you are a brave nation, not afraid of anything, and very sure of where you want to go, to the European Union. And we will welcome you there with open arms.
You’ve done an amazing progress over the last year.
The screening of European Union legislation, the fastest in history. We had the European Union Moldova Summit here in Chisinau for the first time. And we adopted, as the European Union, the unprecedented financial package for your country – €1,9 billion that will transform your country forever, hopefully.
Citizens enjoy a lot of benefits on the way to the EU, such as SEPA. I know many of you have families living in the EU countries, and you can now send money in a much cheaper way thanks to this.
And you will enjoy roaming for free from the first of January. You will be able to talk to each other also for free. And many other benefits will materialize on the way.
On this day, after these four unforgettable months, I want to thank each of you, so many I have met in very different corners of the country during firefighters’ festivals, visiting elderly homes, schools, many other places.
And I promise to go to all those corners I have not yet seen and to meet as many of you as possible.
For this festive season, I wish you what’s most important. To reunite with your families, those living abroad that will come to visit you, maybe you will visit them, cherish this time.
We are all the same. We love our families most, and we as the European Union want the best for you and your families for this country to develop even more next year than last year.
