Chekhov Theater opens acting courses for businessmen

The organizers promise to teach how to be confident in front of any audience, to control voice, body and facial expressions, to show emotions sincerely and without fear. To treat life as a creative endeavor, to increase self-esteem and self-confidence. And also – to develop the ability to listen, hear and interact.

Classes will be held in real theater halls, and the course is taught by professional actors and directors. The main thing is that no special skills are required. There will be two groups with evening classes in Russian and Romanian.

Thus, the Russian-speaking group will be led by Iakov Gribinenko – theater and film actor, screenwriter, film producer, teacher of acting and stage speech. He has won prizes at international festivals for film scripts and acting film and theater works. He took part in the shooting of the Hollywood action-thriller “Entropy”. The movie “The Turchanka” was filmed based on Gribinenko’s script.

Roman Malay is a teacher of the group with instruction in Romanian language. Malay is a theater and film actor and theater director. He graduated from the acting faculty of the Academy of Music, Theater and Fine Arts in Chisinau, and later received a diploma in theater directing from the University of Babeș-Bolyai in Cluj. Now he is an actor in several theaters, directing plays, including independent projects. One of Roman Malai’s latest productions is Turandot at the Chekhov Theater. In the 2024-2025 season, this production was a full house and broke the record for the number of sold out (all tickets sold out).
