These figures were presented to Logos Press by the president of the Moldovan Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Sergiu Harea, within the Pro-industrie forum held today, October 3.
“For three years in a row, our exports have been falling, because the share of industrial production is decreasing,” he said. – Last year, at the initiative of the CCI, the first industrial forum was held. We proposed this format to discuss issues that had accumulated in the sector. Of what was decided as a result of the first forum, 60% of the planned measures have been implemented. So today we are talking about the remaining 40% and how we intend to implement them”.
Sergiu Harea noted that two important documents were approved this year: the Industry Development Programme for 2024–2028 and the State Aid Law. To date, more than 30 companies have taken advantage of this updated support tool. The amount invested by the state and companies participating in the state aid programme will total 2.4 billion lei. The state will cover 50-60% of the costs through non-repayable financial assistance and partial tax exemptions. This year, the state is prepared to invest 800 million lei in this programme.
“There are certain barriers when signing agreements, we are analyzing them today together with the Ministry of Economy,” said the president of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry. – Together with the representatives of the state bodies, we should find a solution to accelerate the development of the economy, including in the context of joining the EU. With the opening of the market, competition will increase, and our entrepreneurs will have to meet these challenges”.
