This information from the National Bureau of Statistics shows a marked upturn in the construction industry.
The decisive influence on the overall growth of the construction volume in the third quarter of 2025 was exerted by works on the erection of new facilities (+52.5%). The increase in capital repair works amounted to 38.1%; works on current repair and maintenance grew by 30.9%. At the same time, the volume of other construction works (demolition of buildings, development of land plots for construction) decreased by 17.7% in the analyzed period.
The analysis by objects of construction shows that in the third quarter of 2025 compared to the same period of 2024 the greatest growth was observed in the construction of non-residential buildings – by 56.6%. In the construction of engineering structures the growth amounted to 41.7%, residential buildings accounted for 26.7% growth.
In general, for 9 months of the current year compared to the last year in the context of structural elements, the most notable increase was noted in capital repair – by 42.9%, in new construction – by 37.6%, in maintenance and current repair – by 37.1%.
In terms of construction objects for the period January-September 2025, the outstripping growth in the volume of construction works was recorded in non-residential buildings – by 52.4%, engineering structures – by 37.2%, in residential construction works increased by 24.8%.
In the structure of structural elements, the largest share of construction works is in the segment of new construction – 48.6%. Major repairs account for 22.8%, current repairs and maintenance – 26.3%.
National Bureau of Statistics warns that the presented indicators are preliminary and can be adjusted in the next quarter according to the specifications received from organizations.
