This measure will be in force during 2026, the National Road Transport Agency of Moldova (ANTA) informs road carriers. According to the Bulgarian authorities, the restriction concerns trucks with a total weight exceeding 12 tons. The measures will be applied during periods of official holidays.

The restrictions are in force on certain sections of the main Bulgarian highways, including the Trakia, Hemus and Struma autobahns. They will be applied during certain hours. The Bulgarian authorities are introducing these measures to optimize traffic and improve safety, especially on days with heavy traffic, ANTA said.

The agency recommends road carriers to plan routes and travel schedules taking into account these restrictions, as well as to regularly familiarize themselves with the official information in order to avoid delays and sanctions for their violation.

For complete information on the sections, dates and time periods of the restriction measures, as well as cases of exceptions, ANTA invites carriers to use the official link.
