A total of 5,170 companies with British capital are registered in Ukraine. Most of all such companies are concentrated in Kyiv – 2,367. Next come Kyiv region (1,043 companies), Odessa region (220), Donetsk region (212) and Dnipropetrovsk region (188). This was reported by analysts of YouControl service.
Analysts note that 35 companies with British co-owners have notices of sanctions related to their participants or ultimate beneficial owners. In another 41 companies, in addition to representatives of the UK, there are participants or beneficiaries from Russia in the ownership structure.
185 corporate groups include or have links to 546 companies with British capital. At the same time, one company may belong to several groups at the same time, as well as one group may unite several companies.
Most companies are concentrated in the corporate groups VR Capital Group (36), Pharmacy of Low Prices (35) and Ukrproduct Group (30).
The largest companies with British capital in Ukraine operate mainly in metallurgy, tobacco and retail.
