Bitcoin hits one-month low, collapsing to $65,000

The price of the first cryptocurrency on Monday night collapsed to $65 thousand per coin for the first time in March.

On the night of March 30, the bitcoin (BTC) exchange rate updated a one-month low, falling to the $65 thousand mark. The Ethereum (ETH) exchange rate at one point fell below $1.94 thousand on the Binance exchange, reports RBC.

By 9:10 Moscow time cryptocurrency quotes recovered. Bitcoin price is above $67.5 thousand, Ethereum is trading above $2.05 thousand. The total capitalization of the crypto market has grown to $2.33 trillion.

The week that ended on March 29 was the second consecutive week for BTC, which recorded negative price dynamics. The monthly maximum rate of the main cryptocurrency – $76 thousand – was reached on March 17.

If bitcoin continues to decline until the end of March, it will become the sixth consecutive month when the price recorded a decline.

The Crypto Market Fear and Greed Index is in the “extreme fear” zone, indicating a score of 8 out of 100. This indicates that market participants are leaning towards panic selling of cryptocurrencies.

For the trading week through March 27, U.S. bitcoin spot exchange traded funds (ETFs) recorded net outflows of $296 million, according to Sosovalue data. Ethereum-ETFs saw net outflows of more than $206 million.
