The updated world average IQ rating for the beginning of 2026 is based on the results of a survey of more than 1.2 million people who took the same IQ-test during 2025. A total of 137 countries were included in the ranking. The average index of the level of intelligence, taken as an estimated one, amounted to 100.
According to the study, Belarus showed a result above the global average. taking 17th line with an average score of 101.05.
The country is noticeably ahead of its nearest neighbors. Thus, Lithuania took 30th place in the rating with an index of 99.95, Poland is in 40th place (99.14), while Latvia – in 43rd position (99.01). Ukraine ranks 84th with an index of 95.66.
Moldova ranked 71st with an average of 96.85. This is 0.47 indexes lower than last year. A total of 2,345 people participated in the testing in Moldova.
The leader of the world rating was the Republic of Korea (106.97), followed by China (106.48), Japan (106.3), Iran (104.8) and Australia (104.45). The index placed Russia (103.78) right after the top five.
