Alexander Petkov, the mayor of the “northern capital”, wrote in social networks that he signed on June 17 in Bucharest an Agreement on financing two socially important projects by RoAid.
The first project involves lighting 25 crosswalks near Bălţi’s educational institutions to ensure children’s safety. The second initiative is aimed at equipping the playgrounds on the territory of Kindergarten No. 3 with modern and safe play equipment.
The total amount of donated financial assistance is about 1.5 million Moldovan lei. This is the first direct funding from RoAid for the municipality of Balti.
“During the official meeting with Mrs. Daniela-Maria Dobre, Director General of RoAid, together with the Vice Mayor of Balti municipality Tatiana Dubitcaia, as well as the Agency’s employees responsible for projects in the Republic of Moldova, we discussed concrete proposals for further cooperation for the coming years in such important fields for our city as education, health and social infrastructure,” said Alexandru Petcov.
