ANSA recalls Russian buckwheat

Food Safety Agency ANSA urges buyers of packaged buckwheat Imperia Foods (country of origin - Russia, date on the package - 18.04.2025, importer - "Vintage Distribution" SRL) to return this product to the point of sale, - reports Logos Press.

ANSA recalls Russian buckwheat

The reason for the recall is the high residual content of the pesticide, glyphosate, detected in this product. For this reason, ANSA recommends not to eat the product and to “urgently return it before 05.09.2025”.

Specialists of the agency note that this is not an acute and quite rare case. The last time high content of glyphosate in a product on the Moldovan market was detected by ANSA in 2023.
