In the qualification round, the 20-year-old Belic scored 566 points out of a possible 600, making 33 hits on target in 60 shots. This result allowed him to take fifth place out of 18 competitors and advance to the 1/4 finals. The first place went to Matej Kuchar from Slovakia with 575 points.
The Moldovan athlete secured his participation in the semifinals thanks to his 6:4 victory over Bosian Tang (China). In the semifinals, Cucar, the winner of the qualification round, was defeated 6:2. Irina Chekanova continued her winning streak in the deciding match against Noe Wenger from Switzerland. With a final score of 6:2 Belic became the winner of the youth tournament within the World Series. The bronze medal winner was Kuchar, who defeated Matt Gori of Denmark (6:4).
There was also a tournament among adults, in which the best performance of Moldovan athletes was Alexandra Myrca (eliminated in 1/8 finals). Dan Olaru and Nadezhda Celan failed to get further than 1/16 finals.
The World Series is the largest international indoor archery tournament at 18 meters. The 2025/26 season will feature seven rounds, the first of which was held in Lausanne. Stages are also scheduled in Strassen (Luxembourg), Taiyuan (Taiwan), Rio de Janeiro (Brazil), Nîmes (France) and Mérida (Mexico). The final stage will take place at the end of March 2026 in Las Vegas (USA).
