The agency’s specialists analyzed corporate sales. They found out that by the end of 2025, sales of personal computers (PCs) grew by 9.1%. Growth for the fourth quarter amounted to 9.3%. The success of the market was evaluated after a calm 2024 and a decline in the previous two years.
Analysts said that in 2025, AI-enabled PCs began to gain popularity in the market. However, they called the impact of the new type of devices small and such computers mostly overvalued.
“Consumers simply realized: a five-year laptop running at the limit of its capabilities is not a long-term strategy,” said the report’s authors.
Gartner experts also admitted that the popularity of AI computers is growing because there are simply no other devices on the market. They pointed out that Microsoft is stimulating the emergence of PCs with AI, which include almost all powerful devices.
The leader of the PC market in the last quarter of 2025 was Lenovo, which sold 19.4 million units of devices. HP and Dell ranked below – 15.4 and 11.7 million computers, respectively.
