The Ministry of Agriculture and Food reported that the construction of the first stage of the plant has been completed. Work is underway to connect to the power grid, and construction of the second unit is continuing in parallel.
The plant is located on the outskirts of the town of Criuleni. It will be designed to process animal waste into an industrial resource and will contribute to the protection of the environment and public health. The plant will be equipped with modern technologies, including negative pressure systems, biofilters for air purification and wastewater treatment facilities.
Processing will be carried out by pressure sterilization in a closed-loop system that guarantees sanitary safety. By-products will be processed into protein meal and fats suitable for use in non-food industries.
The project also provides for the purchase of special vehicles for the collection and transportation of waste from farms and slaughterhouses.
