The results of the integration of refugees in Chisinau were also announced there. Thus, 44.5 thousand recipients of temporary protection were registered in the capital. Of them: 9.8 thousand children (0-17 years old); 31.5 thousand able-bodied adults (18-59 years old); 3.2 thousand elderly people (60+ years old). About 59% of refugees arriving in Moldova are accommodated in Chisinau.
Also, the municipal authorities, with the help of partners, created 45 accommodation centers, where more than 16 thousand people were accommodated. About 84.4 thousand humanitarian aid packages were distributed to the beneficiaries, of which 44.3 thousand were intended for children.
During the target period, more than 4.0 thousand children were integrated into schools and kindergartens, and 1.67 thousand children benefited from staying in summer camps. At the same time, more than 2.3 thousand refugees were registered in the Municipal Library and 2.3 thousand young people were involved in the activities of Youth Centers.
