
The National Health Insurance Company (CNAM) allocated more than 1.5 billion lei to pay for these services, which is almost the entire planned budget (98.9%) and 172 million lei more than a year earlier.
The average cost of a visit to a specialist amounted to 152 lei, while a consultation with a dentist – about 270 lei.
Also, more than 2.6 million paraclinical services were financed – laboratory tests and various examinations. Their total cost amounted to about 216 million lei. All of them were carried out on the basis of referrals by specialized doctors.
Significant funds were also spent on dialysis: more than 108 thousand procedures were paid for, worth over 234 million lei.
A separate item of expenditure is early intervention services for children. In 2025, early intervention centers received about 185 thousand visits, for which 22.7 million lei were allocated.
Also financed are about 24 thousand radiotherapy sessions for cancer patients – almost 7 thousand more than in 2024.
For its part, the Institute of Oncology carried out about 6 thousand video-endoscopic examinations of the lower GI tract. The CNAM allocated 4.7 million lei for these purposes.
More than 5 million lei was allocated to cover food and travel expenses for TB patients.
In total, in 2025, CNAM has concluded contracts with 122 health service providers: among them 18 republican institutions, 18 municipal, 69 district, 4 departmental and 13 private ones.
Specialized outpatient care includes consultations with specialist doctors, dental services, dialysis, radiotherapy, video endoscopy, medical rehabilitation, and early intervention programs for children under 5 years of age.
