A plot of the forest fund will be transferred for the construction of the highway Chisinau-Ungheni – border with Romania

The Government is preparing a decision on the transfer of a plot of land for the construction of the national road R1 Chisinau-Ungheni - border with Romania (sector Zagarancea - border).

The plot in question is 0.5634 hectares of land from the general forest fund with an area of 53 hectares, located in Zagarancea commune, Ungheni district. The plot will be donated from the Ministry of Environment to the Ministry of Infrastructure and Regional Development.

After all cadastral procedures and allocation of the plot have been formalized, a transfer commission will be set up within 30 days, which will finalize the process in accordance with the legislation in force.

Earlier, works on the construction, repair, modernization and expansion of a number of national roads, as well as border crossing points with related infrastructure were recognized as projects of national importance. Among them is the R1 Chisinau-Ungheni-Zagarancea road.
