A symbolic tree planting action was organized by the capital’s City Hall. The participants planted 60 trees near the Cathedral of the Nativity of Christ, which formed the “Alley of Friendship”.

According to the idea of the authors of the initiative, the Alley of Friendship is a living symbol of unity and diversity, for which the Moldovan land has always been famous. The trees were planted by representatives of ethnic communities living in Chisinau.

“Next to the Cathedral, the main sacred place of the country, nothing should divide us,” was the message of the organizers.

More than 100 members of 30 non-governmental associations representing all nationalities living in Moldova took part in the action.
