According to a press release from the EU Delegation to Moldova, the EU-funded initiative will contribute to the creation of a National Digital Register of Farmers, modernization of employment services and development of inclusive tools to facilitate access to decent jobs and support in agriculture.
The project has two complementary objectives. The first aims to improve access to employment services through the digital transformation of the National Employment Agency. The second objective aims to support the Ministry of Agriculture and Food and the Agency for Subventions and Payments in Agriculture in the national expansion of the National Digital Register of Farmers. This represents an important step towards an Integrated Administration and Control System harmonized with the EU Common Agricultural Policy.

By enhancing digital tools at national level, we are making public services more efficient, transparent and accessible to all citizens. The creation of a National Register of Farmers is crucial for Moldova’s accession to the EU, as it ensures compliance with the requirements of the EU Common Agricultural Policy. It benefits citizens and the agricultural community by ensuring fair access to agricultural subsidies, improving food safety and traceability, and supporting rural development through more informed agricultural policies,” said Iwona Piorco, European Union Ambassador to Moldova.
