The projects supported by the program cover all districts of the country. The largest investments were made in the Center region and Chisinau municipality – more than 1.7 billion lei in each. The Northern region attracted investments worth 843 million lei, while the Southern region, including the Autonomous Territorial Unit of Gagauzia, attracted 505 million lei.
The financial support was provided to different economic sectors, but the largest share of investments (42%) was directed to energy production and supply. It is followed by manufacturing industry (16%) and transportation and storage (15%). Significant funds also went to the health, education and leisure sectors.
The companies supported by Program 373 now employ more than 12,000 people, with plans to create an additional 2,462 jobs in the coming years.
The program, launched in July 2023, is constantly being adapted for entrepreneurs. Access to financing has been expanded and procedures simplified. Currently, trade enterprises (excluding those selling alcohol and tobacco products) as well as companies from the vehicle maintenance sector can also join the program.
The maximum credit amount has been increased from 15 to 40 million lei. Besides, up to 30% of the project’s value can be used for the purchase of raw materials necessary for production or rendering services. At the expense of the Credit Guarantee Fund, the maximum amount of the guarantee was increased from 40% to 80% of the loan amount.
It should be noted that Program 373 is available in all banks in the country.
