
The program covers all regions of the country, with a more pronounced concentration in the north. It offers financing in Moldovan lei at a fixed rate of 5.1% per annum, which is significantly more favorable than interest rates in the banking sector. Thus, final beneficiaries benefited on average by 6.45 percentage points compared to commercial loans.
To date, the total amount of resources re-credited through FCA exceeds MDL 281 million, of which more than 38 million were disbursed in December. Each loan includes a grant component, allocated depending on the type of investment. Thus, the total amount of grants provided exceeds 30 million lei, of which 3.95 million were disbursed in December.
Farmers directed most of their investments to the purchase of equipment for traditional agriculture, which accounted for 70.29% of the total financed expenditures and was accompanied by a grant of 5%.
Some beneficiaries opted to invest in conservative agriculture technologies, which accounted for 9.50% of the financed expenditure and received a grant of 15%.
At the same time, investments in post-harvest processing amounted to 20.21% of the total amount and was supported by a grant of 30%.
For the next period, 271 million lei in loans and 29 million lei in grants for the respective projects are available under the program.
