The new duties on goods exported by Moldova to the United States should enter into force on August 1, 2025, but Moldova requested a transitional period. This would allow the Moldovan authorities to continue the dialog with the US side in order to reach a bilateral agreement, including on the possible reduction of the duties. This was stated by Cristina Ceban, State Secretary of the Ministry of Economic Development and Digitalization.
