Moldova achieved a historic success at the Paralympic Games in Paris. For the first time, Moldova’s representatives won 2 medals: Ion Basoc became silver medalist of the Paralympic tournament in para-judo in the weight category over 90 kg, and the 2008 Paralympic champion Oleg Cretsul won bronze medal in the weight category up to 90 kg. Three more athletes – Gheorghe Spinu, Larisa Marinenkova and Inna Cernei – did not win medals, but they also represented our country with dignity.
