Moldova achieved a historic success at the Paralympic Games in Paris. For the first time, Moldova’s representatives won 2 medals: Ion Basoc became silver medalist of the Paralympic tournament in para-judo in the weight category over 90 kg, and the 2008 Paralympic champion Oleg Cretsul won bronze medal in the weight category up to 90 kg. Three more athletes – Gheorghe Spinu, Larisa Marinenkova and Inna Cernei – did not win medals, but they also represented our country with dignity. By the way, for Larisa Marinenkova the last Paralympics became the fifth in her sporting career, and Inna Cernei made her debut at the main Games of the 4th year.
