The sales season of Moldovan apples of last year’s harvest has come to a close. The stocks of export-quality goods are almost exhausted, and they will be barely enough to supply the domestic market of Moldova in June – the last month of the “apple” 2024-25 marketing year (MY). Logos Press correspondent tried, with the help of experts from two corporate associations of fruit business, to make a balance of the passing season and analyze the preconditions of the situation on the market of this fruit in the new MY.
More than 70 horticulture specialists from Ukraine and Romania, as well as representatives of 40 companies-suppliers of agro-technological goods and services from nine countries took part in the VII Annual Convocation of the Specialized Exhibition of Technologies and Innovations in Fruit Growing “Fruit Day”, organized by the Association Moldova Fruct, – reports Logos Press.
This summer, Moldovan dairy factories will keep purchase prices for raw milk “at the high level of the cold season”. This is relevant for large dairy farms, to which milk processing companies pay an average of 9 lei/kg (excluding VAT) for raw milk,” Logos Press reported.

Moldova will export about 105-110 thousand tons of apples from last year’s harvest in the current marketing year (July 2024-June 2025). This is 20-23% lower than the export of Moldovan apple (137 thousand tons) in the previous season 2023-24,” Logos Press reports.
After more than ten years of insolvency procedure (since 2013), the Chisinau Court, by a decision of June 2, 2025, decided to remove the joint-stock company “Aroma” from this procedure and allowed it to continue its activity, – reports Logos Press.
