Moldova lacks a harmonized regulatory framework for environmental noise assessment and management. The Government intends to bridge the gap and adopt the necessary document (Regulation) and transpose the relevant European Directive into the national noise legislation.
Between May 2024 and January 2025, about 265 tons of hazardous chemicals, including highly toxic polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs), were safely removed from ten storage facilities on both banks of the Dniester River and delivered to a certified toxic waste incineration facility in Germany, Logos Press reported.
Under the program “Startup for Youth and Migrants”, 27 projects were approved for financing for a total of 5.2 million lei through the Municipal Center for Entrepreneurship Development, Logos Press reported.

Since the beginning of 2025, the municipal animal supervision and protection enterprise has received 434 calls from residents and local governments regarding stray dogs in various areas of the city, Logos Press reported.

The leave for fathers of twins or triplets will be up to 15 days for each newborn child. Chisinau City Hall will contribute its share to the implementation of the project “New water intake station on the Dniester River”, implemented within the framework of the “Open Program of Urban Development in Moldova”. The corresponding decision was approved by the Chisinau Municipal Council on October 17.
Plans for the construction of the Iasi-Ungheni-Chisinau-Odessa highway, which had been frozen for an indefinite period, are back on the agenda of the relevant authorities in Chisinau. It is also expected to play the role of a new tourist route connecting the three countries. The length of the highway will be more than 320 kilometers, and the construction will cost 1.2 billion euros. The future of this project, among others, was discussed during a meeting with an official Romanian delegation at the Moldovan Ministry of Infrastructure and Regional Development.
