    According to the National Bureau of Statistics of the Republic of Moldova, in May, compared to the level of the previous month, consumer (retail) food prices increased insignificantly – only by 1%. However, compared to their level at the beginning of 2025, the increase is more pronounced – plus 6.5%. And compared to the prices in May 2024, food prices rose by 9.7%.
