Yerevan Fashion Week was held in Armenia – the key event of the regional fashion industry, bringing together designers and experts from different countries. This season had a special significance for Moldova: for the first time in the history of the event, a Moldovan designer – Alexey Sorochin, founder of the Alexey Sorochin brand – took part.

From October 15 to 18, 2025, the Romanian capital hosted Mercedes-Benz Bucharest Fashion Week, an international fashion week supported by Mercedes-Benz. The event reinforced Bucharest’s status as a new fashion platform in Eastern Europe and became part of a global network of fashion weeks where Mercedes-Benz has been a strategic partner for many years – from Berlin to Tbilisi.

From October 1 to October 4, Chisinau hosted the Moldovan Brands Runway (MBR) season, the largest fashion and cultural platform in the region. Over the past years, the project has become one of the key points of development of the creative economy in Moldova. The fall-winter season (AW25/26) was held under the theme “Reframing”, focusing on the relationship between fashion, culture and identity.

There are events that repeat themselves year after year and remain in the shadows. And there are those that pass almost unnoticed – but become more and more significant with each new edition. The NextGENERATION competition of young designers, held in Chisinau with the support of ZIPHOUSE, is just one of them. It builds the reputation of Moldovan fashion industry not by declarations, but by results. It is no longer a student catwalk, but a space where new visual languages, trends, and cultural intonations emerge – even if still in search, but with a clear handwriting.
