
In 2025, they are:
- Radu Ratsoi, accordionist, “Maestru in Arta”, soloist of the National Chamber Orchestra – for exceptional contribution to the development of musical art in the Republic of Moldova and promotion of national culture at international level;
- Varvara Buzile, Doctor of Philological Sciences, Head of the Ethnography Department of the National Museum of Ethnography and Natural History – for undeniable merits in the field of preservation and promotion of intangible cultural heritage;
- Marcela Vieru (Benia), poet – for literary work in general;
- Timofei Batrinu, artist, “Maestru in Arta”, People’s Artist – for his many years of creative activity and promotion of the national fine arts;
- Ignat Casmali, founder of the Museum of Avdarma History – for exceptional contribution to the preservation of historical memory and valorization of cultural heritage;
- Dumitru Erhan and Stefan Rusu, researchers of the Institute of Zoology of the State University of Moldova, for the cycle of works “Associated parasites of domestic and wild animals – prevention and treatment”;
- Mihail Agafica, People’s Artist, first conductor and artistic director of the Symphony Orchestra of the National Philharmonic named after Serghei Lunkevici. Serghei Lunkevich – for his outstanding creative contribution in the field of symphonic conducting;
- Denis Vieru, Master of Sport International Class in Judo – for outstanding performances at international tournaments and bronze medal at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris;
- Valeriu Duminica, Head Coach of the National Olympic Judo Team – for significant contribution to the training of athletes and high results at the Olympic Games;
- Ion Anton, writer and journalist, director of the weekly “Florile Dalbe” – for his literary and journalistic work dedicated to children and youth.
“This is the most prestigious award in the country and is given in recognition of outstanding achievement. This year we have a very worthy list of laureates,” said Culture Minister Sergiu Prodan.
For his part, Prime Minister Dorin Recean emphasized the importance of supporting outstanding talents.
“Moldova has many outstanding talents, we have to find ways to appreciate them. We congratulate the laureates and all those who supported them in their work.”
The National Award recognizes achievements that promote the country’s image at the international level and contribute to technical, scientific and socio-economic progress. The laureates will receive a diploma, a medal and a cash prize of 100 thousand lei.
